1. Application for Returns/Refunds

1.1 In accordance with the conditions outlined in this Refunds and Return Policy and the Terms of Service, Buyers are eligible to apply for a return or refund of purchased items (“Item”) before the Gearsdepot Guarantee Period expires, as detailed in the Terms of Service.

1.2 The Gearsdepot Guarantee is a service offered by Gearsdepot, upon User's request, to assist Users with resolving certain disputes that may arise during a transaction. Users are encouraged to communicate privately to resolve conflicts or to seek assistance from local authorities to address disputes before, during, or after using the Gearsdepot Guarantee.

2. Application for the Return of an Item

2.1 Buyers can request a refund and/or return of an Item under the following conditions:

- The Item has not been received by the Buyer;

- The Item was defective or damaged upon delivery;

- The Item received is incomplete (quantity or accessories are missing);

- The Item does not match the agreed specifications (e.g., wrong size, color, etc.);

- The Item is significantly different from the Seller’s description in the listing;

- The Item is counterfeit**;

- The Item has physical damage (e.g., dented, scratched, shattered);

- The Item is faulty (e.g., malfunctioning, not working as intended);

- Change of mind*;

- Expired products; or

- Empty or suspicious parcels.

*Certain item categories are not eligible for Change of Mind returns or refunds.

2.2 Buyers must submit their applications through the Gearsdepot mobile app.

2.3 Gearsdepot will assess each application on a case-by-case basis and will have the sole discretion to determine the application's success.

2.4 If required by Gearsdepot, the Buyer must ship the Item to a specified location within five (5) calendar days after the return request is approved.

2.5 Gearsdepot will have the sole discretion to approve refund and return requests, and Buyers agree that Gearsdepot’s decision is final, binding, and not subject to further claims or suits.

2.6 If the Buyer has initiated legal action against the Seller, they may provide formal notification from the authorities to Gearsdepot, requesting the purchase monies be held until a legal determination is made. Gearsdepot will decide at its sole discretion whether to hold the funds.

3. Condition of Returning Item

3.1 For Change of Mind returns/refunds, Items must be unused and in new condition. Specific conditions include: a) Tools in original, unopened packaging with seals intact. b) Machinery with no signs of use, all protective covers in place. c) Unused consumables (e.g., lubricants, filters) in original packaging.

3.2 For other returns/refunds, Items (including any accessories, manuals, and cases) should be in the condition received upon delivery. Buyers are advised to thoroughly inspect and photograph the Item upon receipt.

4. Liability for Forward Shipping Fee and Return Shipping Fee

(a) If the error is on the seller’s end (damaged, faulty, incomplete, incorrect Item), the seller bears both forward and return shipping fees.

(b) In the event of a change of mind by the buyer, the buyer must get the seller's consent for the return, and the seller will bear the return shipping fee.

(c) In disputes over return shipping liability, Gearsdepot will determine the responsible party.

5. Refunds

5.1 Refunds will be processed once the Gearsdepot confirms receipt of the returned Item. If there is no confirmation within a specified time, Gearsdepot will refund the Buyer. Refunds are generally made via the original payment method. If this isn’t possible, refunds may be issued as Gearsdepot vouchers, with Buyers having no further claims upon issuance.

5.2 If monies have been disbursed to the Gearsdepot, approved refunds may be deducted from the Seller’s balance per the Terms of Service.
